Animation- Bendos Rule! Claymation Galore!
Tutor- Ben Soole
Using bendy “people” toys, learn how to build an animated scene based around the city centre.  Create characters with play dough and use them to make an animated movie.

Blue/ Green Screening- Around the world in a day!
Tutors- Jo Ellis
Create a photo album of a trip around the world using keynote, i-photo, printshop and maybe comic life. Choose an "album" of world famous landmarks, take action shots of yourself in front of a green screen, alpha-key the backgrounds out in keynote and then superimpose your action shots into your album. If there is time we will add captions etc. in comic life.

Photo Morphing- Seeing is Believing!!
Tutor- Yaron Overeem
We will be using "Sqirlz Morph" to morph photos togeather. You will be using a photo of yourself and morph it into various animals and objects. Then you will put these into Microsoft MovieMaker and add music. The end result will be a really cool movie showing you turning into differnt animals and objects.

Kahootz- Kahootz Capers!
Tutor- Shelley Gosse
Kahootzville is under threat from overcrowding! From the scenario that will be given to you, your team will need to use your higher order problem solving skills to identify the issues, offer some solutions and then create your own dream city using the 3d, animation programme. Kahootz. During this workshop you may also need to use Inspiration, Word or Publisher.

Podcasting- Announcing Whangarei!!!
Tutor- Mark Buckland
So many people come to Whangarei in the summer time, and there's a lot for them to see and do. But how can we tell them about it? In this workshop you'll make a podcast that tells visitors to our city (and the locals) about what they can see and do while they are here. We will make our recordings available to the world on the internet once they are finished.

Voice Thread- Storytelling for the Future

Are you interested in making Digital Stories using moving and still images? Would you like to be able to doodle pictures or words over those images? And use your voice or text to comment about yours and other’s work? This workshop will introduce you to the web 2.0 tool VoiceThread. We will be creating our own Digital Stories and asking other to comment on them.

Using Clickviews amazing video library students will do a basic inquiry on a topic supplied to them and present using video snippets extracted from our video library.  Example – compare three ancient civilizations  across four different areas such as home life, work , technology, education. Present using video, images and text in PowerPoint.
