Using the magic of blue / green screen we will be making the unreal seem believable. This work shop will be using the Channel North equipment and iMovie to create impossible pictures and small movie clips.
Simple Website Building- Wikis Rock!!

In this session you will make a wiki. (website)
You will first learn the basics about wiki, then you will make a short movie, digital photos slides show, animation and a few other neat things to add to the wiki.
A wiki is a type of website that you make online. Unlike normal website a wiki can be edited by anyone, anytime and anywhere.
Once you go home you will be able to show your parents and friends the wiki we have created.
Kahootz- Kahootz Capers!

Kahootzville is under threat from overcrowding! From the scenario that will be given to you, your team will need to use your higher order problem solving skills to identify the issues, offer some solutions and then create your own dream city using the 3d, animation programme. Kahootz. During this workshop you may also need to use Inspiration, Word or Publisher.
Podcasting- Announcing Whangarei!!!
Tutor- Mark Buckland
So many people come to Whangarei in the summer time, and there's a lot for them to see and do. But how can we tell them about it? In this workshop you'll make a podcast that tells visitors to our city (and the locals) about what they can see and do while they are here. We will make our recordings available to the world on the internet once they are finished.
Future Problem Solving/ KidPix/ iMovie/ iTunes- Here’s to the Future!

In this workshop you will be given a scenario set 60 years in the future surrounding the invasion of aliens to Whangarei where many challenges are set down for the residents. After brainstorming and using criteria to come up with a solution, you will then showcase this solution by creating a plan of action. Using Kidpix, i-Movie and i-Tunes you will create a futuristic scene focussing on Whangarei central.
